Introducing "CK" our support truck
| |

|
|
"CK" is short for Chirumba Kusakara.
The story behind the name is that the owner two before me used this truck to explore much of southern Africa. On one of their adventures they were traveling far from any roads exploring the Kalahari Desert when they arrived upon a small village. The San people of the village saw the Land Rover they started calling him Chirumba Kusakara which when translated to English roughly means the "Unstoppable One". I have been unable to verify this story, but it is a good enough one to keep the name.
In the time that I have been driving CK he has truly lived up to his name, whether fording rivers in Kaokoland Namibia, crawling through deep mud to access remote beaches in Mozambique, or sliding around in some good old Canadian Snow, CK has always gotten me home, with many memorable adventures and friends found along the way.
Take the trail that forks from the road less traveled and find out where it goes...
